Saturday Sandwich Spectacular
[ above ] Zack stands in awe of the Banana Sandwich Spectacular Spread, the likes of which has never been seen!
 
 [ above, left ] Ingredients: breads, various bananas (even plantains), almond butter, cashew butter, the much-maligned peanut butter, apple butter, honey, strawberry jam, a chocolate spread ... and more ...
[ left ] The traditional Cavendish banana after a firm, even mashing. As stated before, savoury sandwiches can only be achieved through skilled mashing technique. Slicing fails to release the flavour and fun. Stop slicing, bananas want to be free!
 
Perhaps you think several varieties of bread is enough? Perhaps you are wrong! Witness Amber's crepe-making skills:
  
[ above ] The surface of the crepe, once thought barren and inhospitable, is now know to support a thriving ecosystem.
[ right ] Some of the bananas and plantains were sliced, but only because they were destined for greater things: the frying pan.
[ below ] Chunks of banana sizzle happily together, unaware of the future when they will become adults and have responsibilities of their own.
 
 
Finally, time to eat! [ above, left ] The final spread, ready to be consumed! [ above, right ] Amber's crepe containing the chocolate spread, mashed bananas and ice cream.
Warm and safe, the sandwiches thought of all the fun friends they met before being eaten.
