The Globe and Mail reports that the federal Minister of State for Science & Technology (pictured as a giant, mobile Eddie Murphy head, below) is evasive about his views on evolution:

"I'm not going to answer that question. I am a Christian, and I don't think anybody asking a question about my religion is appropriate,"
...
Some have expressed concern that Mr. Goodyear, a chiropractor from Cambridge, Ont., is suspicious of science, perhaps because he is a creationist.

What's most disturbing is that the minister clearly believes that religion and evolution are mutually exclusive. Even the Vatican -- in the news today encouraging African's to avoid using condoms to stop the spread of AIDS -- isn't that extreme.

I was going to make a joke about Kinsella dusting off his toy dinosaur ... but he already did.
